Easy Udon Carbonara

Try udon noodles instead of pasta. It's so easy because you use frozen udon. You'll have the whole thing prepared in no time at all.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Frozen udon noodles
1 portion
Half-strip of bacon
2 slices
5 g
Coarsely ground garlic
1/2 teaspoon
Heavy cream (or milk)
100 ml
Sliced cheese
1 slice
To taste
Black pepper
To taste
Egg yolk
A small amount


1. Microwave the frozen udon for 3 minutes at 600 W.
2. While the udon is in the microwave, melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic. When fragrant, add onion and bacon to sauté.
3. When that's cooked, add cream and roughly chopped sliced cheese. Bring to a boil.
4. Add the microwaved udon noodles into the pan. Season with salt and black pepper.
5. When the sauce and noodles are well-mixed, add beaten egg yolks. Stir briskly.
6. Dish it up, then sprinkle with black pepper and parsley to finish. Top with soft-poached eggs if you'd like.
