Extremely Convenient Soboro with Onions

I added onions to my usually soboro recipe. If you make this in bulk, you can use it for many different dishes and it'll be convenient. You can just eat it over rice as well.


Ground beef and pork mixture
350 g
1 small onion (170 g)
☆ Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
☆ Mirin
1 tablespoon
☆ Sake
1 tablespoon
☆ Sugar
2 teaspoons
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon


1. Saute minced onions in a pan heated with oil.
2. Add the ground meat, and saute. Once the oil has seeped out of the meat, wipe with a paper towel.
3. After adding the ingredients, simmer until the liquid has evaporated.
4. If you layer it on top of mashed potatoes and cheese, and bake in a oven, then you have Japanese-style shepherd's pie.
