Yoghurt Calpis and Milk

Yoghurt Calpis and Milk

Ingredients are multiples of 3, so the recipe is easy to remember. A refreshingly sweet and simple dessert you can make without a stove.

Ingredients: 7 x 180ml bowls

Calpis (Calpico in America/UK)
300ml (approx. 1.5 cups)
Milk
600ml (approx 3 cups)
Lemon juice
30ml
Gelatin powder
10g
Water (For the gelatin)
6 tablespoons

Steps

1. Combine the gelatin with water.
2. Combine the milk, Calpis, and lemon juice in a non-metal bowl and mix.
3. Dissolve the gelatin in water by microwaving for 3 minutes. Once the gelatin dissolves, pour into the bowl from Step 2.
4. Put the mixture into non-metallic containers and chill in the refrigerator to set. Skim off the bubbles from the surface for a clean finish.
5. When making it to eat at home, use a large bowl and chill as is to have less dirty dishes to clean.
6. Put them in a basket as a gift when visiting a friend.

Story Behind this Recipe

The "yoghurt" that my mother used to make brought back memories of my childhood, so I posted the recipe for my records.
