Macrobiotic Banana Bread with Rice Flour

This recipe is made without any flour, eggs, dairy products, or refined white sugar. Banana goes very well with brown cane sugar. Enjoy the moist and chewy texture of the rice flour in this banana bread.

Ingredients: 1 pound cake

☆ Bananas
☆ Soy milk
70 ml
☆ Canola oil
2 tablespoons
☆ Brown sugar
2 tablespoons
Rice flour
150 g
Almond flour
30 g
Baking powder
2 teaspoons
2 pinches
Brown cane sugar (for topping)
to taste
Walnuts (for topping)
to taste


1. Mash the bananas and mix with the ☆ ingredients.
2. In a separate bowl, mix together all of the ingredients except for the topping ingredients.
3. Add the wet ingredients from Step 1 to the dry ingredients from Step 2, and mix until evenly combined.
4. Pour the batter into a pound cake mold, top with brown cane sugar and crushed walnuts, then bake for 40 minutes at 180℃.
5. When you insert a skewer and it comes out clean, it's cooked through. Wrap in aluminum foil until it cools to give it a moist finish.
