Warming Ginger and Japanese Leek Soup

This is a soup with ginger and Japanese leek. It'll warm you up as you drink it.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Ginger
1 thumb
Japanese leek
1/2 stalk
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Water
2 cups (400 ml)
Japanese dashi powder
1 1/2 teaspoons
Sake
1 tablespoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
Black pepper
a small amount
Ichimi spice
to taste

Steps

1. Julienne the ginger and Japanese leek into a length of 4 cm.
2. Add sesame oil and ginger into a pot, and stir-fry until fragrant. Add the leek, and mix well.
3. Add water, dashi powder, sake, and salt. When the soup starts to boil, turn down the heat. Add soy sauce and black pepper to adjust the taste.
4. Sprinkle ichimi spice if you like.
