Tender Shrimp Patty and Avocado Burgers

Tender Shrimp Patty and Avocado Burgers

The tender shrimp patties and avocado paste taste delicious because they are homemade.

Ingredients: 2 people

Peeled shrimp
1/4 (25g)
1 clove
☆Thyme (dried)
a little
☆Egg white
1/2 an egg's worth
about 2 tablespoons
2/3 teaspoon
a small amount
Lemon juice
a small amount
Salt and pepper
to taste
Alfafa sprouts (or lettuce and some other kind of sprout)
to taste
Your favorite bread
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon
2 tablespoons
★Tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon
1/2 teaspoon

1. Finely chop the onions and mince the garlic. Place in a microwave safe bowl, cover with plastic wrap, microwave for 1 minute at 500W, and let cool.
2. Cut the shrimp into 1 cm chunks, and smash with a knife to increase their viscosity. It is an easy job if you use the back of a knife.
3. Add the ingredients from Step 1 and the ingredients marked ☆ to Step 2 and mix. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes. If the mixture is too thin, adjust by adding flour.
4. Remove the skin, pit the avocado, and cut into 2~3 cm cubes. Use a fork to mash into a paste, add the salt, pepper, and lemon juice, and combine.
5. Divide the meat mixture from step 3 into 2 equal portions, and shape them into circular patties. Quickly rinse the alfalfa sprouts in water and pat dry. Mix the ingredients marked with ★ together.
6. Heat vegetable oil over a medium heat, and cook the patties from step 5 until golden brown. Cover after flipping them over, and take them out after cooking for an additional 2~3 minutes.
7. Cut the bread in half, spread half of the avocado paste on the bottom bun, layer the alfalfa sprouts and shrimp burger in that order, and cover with the ★ sauce.
8. Make the other burger in the same manner. Place the top bun on top and they're done. Check out the accompanying potato recipe - Recipe ID: 909942.
9. This is the same burger made using Terarosa's buns. The buns are delicious - I recommend them! See Recipe ID: 1640291.

Story Behind this Recipe

I've hated the meat patties you get at fast food restaurants ever since I was a kid... I like shrimp burgers, so I made a burger that preserves the tender texture of the shrimp, then combined it with avocado, which goes so well with shrimp.
