Banana Chocolate Cake Baked in a Frying Pan

This cake has a crisp caramelized banana surface, and a moist chocolate cake base. It's an easy-to-make low calorie cake that you can bake in a frying pan.


A: Cake flour
80 g
A: Cocoa powder
20 g
A: Baking powder
1 teaspoon
B: Egg
B: Milk
4 tablespoons
B: Lakanto S (100% natural sweetener)
30 g
B: Olive oil
1 tablespoon

1. Sift together the A ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder).
2. Combine the B ingredients (egg, milk, Lakanto sugar, and olive oil) and mix together.
3. Stir in the A mixture to the B mixture, a little at a time, then mix together.
4. Heat a frying pan, and add the Lakanto to melted butter.
5. Remove from heat when the Lakanto dissolves.
6. Put sliced bananas into pan. Be careful not to burn yourself since the butter is hot.
7. Pour in the batter, and evenly spread it out.
8. Cover with a lid (or with aluminum foil), and steam bake for about 10 to 15 minutes on low heat.
9. When a skewer inserted to the middle comes out clean, it's ready. Upturn the frying pan onto a platter.
