White Milk Tea for Cold Days

White Milk Tea for Cold Days

On cold days like these, my family drinks warming and comforting milk tea. Try adding white chocolate instead of sugar for an extravagant drink.

Ingredients: 1 mug worth

80 ml
Tea leaves (Assam or Uva if available)
1 tablespoon
200 ml
White chocolate
20 g plus (as much as you like)
Vanilla essence
3 drops plus (as much as you like)

1. Heat the water in a saucepan over low heat. When it starts to bubble, add the tea leaves and steep.
2. Add the milk and heat over low heat. Don't let it boil!
3. Break the white chocolate up into small pieces and let them dissolve in the mixture. Add the vanilla essence and mix. Pour it into a mug through a tea strainer.
4. I recommend Assam or Uva tea as they are more suited to milk tea. But any kind of tea leaves are fine!

Story Behind this Recipe

I love milk tea. I was making it as usual when I just decided to add white chocolate on the spur of the moment. It turned out to be delicious!
