Quick Simmered Shabu-Shabu Pork and Mizuna Greens

Quick Simmered Shabu-Shabu Pork and Mizuna Greens

I prepare this whenever I'm a bit short on time, which is often. A great standby for busy housewives.

Ingredients: 2 to 3 servings

Thinly sliced pork for shabu-shabu
250-300g
Mizuna greens
1 bag
Enoki mushrooms
1/2~1 pack
Carrot
about 1/2
Water
1 cup - 200ml
Mentsuyu (2x concentrate)
4 tablespoons
Grated ginger
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Chop the mizuna greens into 5 cm long lengths. Cut the root ends off the shimeji mushrooms. Cut the carrot into thin rectangular slices.
2. Combine the water and mentsuyu and bring to a boil.
3. Put in the vegetables from Step 1 and simmer.
4. Add the meat and cook it quickly while untangling the pieces. Turn off the heat, transfer the simmered ingredients to plates and serve with grated ginger. Mix the ginger in as you eat it.
