Japanese-Style Steak – Great with Rice

Lots of vegetables for a heartier dish! It's nice with Japanese beef, but imported beef also works. It's a great combination with rice!

Ingredients: 4-5 servings

Beef steak
1 medium
5 cm
Paprika (red and yellow)
half each
10 cm
2 cloves
50 ml
25 ml
1/2 teaspoon
to taste
Sake (or white wine)
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon

1. Cut the vegetables into 8 mm sticks and place in a bowl.
2. Add the ingredients marked ☆ to another bowl and stir. This is French dressing.
3. Pour the dressing into the Step 1 bowl.
4. Toss lightly to combine evenly.
5. Cut the steaks diagonally into bite size pieces and season with salt and pepper. Grate the garlic and rub into the meat.
6. Combine the meat into the Step 4 vegetables by hand and mix well. Marinate for about 30 minutes.
7. Take the meat out and cook in the pan over medium heat. Sear both sides until golden brown. Drizzle sake over and pour soy sauce around the pan.

9. Using the same pan without washing, stir fry the vegetables. First cook over medium heat then turn down to low heat. Stir fry for 5 minutes until softened. Then drizzle soy sauce.
