100% Rice Flour Sandwich Bread (Brown Sugar) with the Bread Maker

I used wheat-free rice flour bread mix and a Sanyo bread maker. A brown sugar version of regular sandwich bread. It's very soft.

Ingredients: 1 loaf, brown sugar version

Wheat-free rice flour bread mix
300 g
Shortening
30 g
Salt
2/3 teaspoon
Water
270 ml
Brown sugar
about 70 g, as desired (when making regular bread, 30 g of white sugar)
Dry yeast
2 teaspoons (a scant 2 spoonfuls of the spoon included with the bread maker)

Steps

1. Regular Bread: All of the ingredients are the same, but use 30 g of white sugar. Turn on the bread maker, and you will have soft rice flour bread.
2. Brown Sugar Version: If there are any lumps in the brown sugar use a fork to mash them.
3. Add the ingredients as directed in your bread maker's instruction manual. Choose the wheat-free flour bread course. And just leave the rest to the bread maker!
4. It'll be done in a little less than 2 hours! Let it cool off before cutting.
5. This is the wheat-free rice flour bread mix that I used.

Story Behind this Recipe

My youngest son said he wanted to eat brown sugar bread!
