For Breakfast or Dinner Microwaved Milk Soup for One

For Breakfast or Dinner Microwaved Milk Soup for One

You don't need a saucepan to make this easy, warm and comforting soup.

Ingredients: 1 mug cup

1 mug's worth (150-180 ml)
just over 1/2 teaspoon
Coarsely ground black pepper
as you like
White sesame seeds
to taste
Green onions or scallions
to your liking

1. Put the Wei-pa in the mug, then add the milk until the mug is 1/3 full. Microwave for 20 seconds and then mix.
2. Add more milk until the cup is 80% full, then microwave again. You can use the milk setting or set it manually to 2 minutes.
3. When it has warmed, mix it and add the toppings. It's nice with sesame seeds and black pepper. It's even better with green onions.
4. I tried making it with soy milk. It was rich, creamy and delicious. It was bitter-tasting when I added too many green onions. I should have soaked them in water first.

Story Behind this Recipe

I was feeling hungry, but it was too much of a hassle to cook anything. This soup leaves few items to wash up and it was surprisingly tasty.
