[Farmer's Recipe] Salt-Flavored Yakisoba

These refreshing stir-fried noodles with lemon juice is of our family favorites for lunchtime. Try with cabbage, pork, squid, shrimp, etc.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Yakisoba noodles
2 servings
50 g
Pork belly or pork chunks
100 g
Sesame oil
1/2 tablespoon
Salt and pepper
a pinch
Chinese soup stock
3 tablespoons
Oyster sauce
1 teaspoon
Lemon juice
1 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon


1. Chop the cabbage. Cut the shrimp and pork into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, combine the seasoning ingredients under [A].
2. Place the noodles in a microwave safe plate and microwave for 1 minutes at 500 W and roughly separate the noodles. (This is to soften the refrigerated noodles.)
3. Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the pork until the meat is no longer pink. Add the cabbages and cook until soft.
4. Add the shrimp. Season with salt and pepper and cook for a short while. Add the noodles and [A] sauce then cook for another 2 minutes and done.
5. It's a light, salty flavor.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had leftover scallion sauce and used it for stir-fried noodles. It tasted just like salt-flavored yakisoba stir-fried noodles. So I made this salt yakisoba with the seasonings for the green onion sauce: sesame oil, lemon juice and salt.
