Grated Parmesan cheese
2 to 3 tablespoons
Parsley (optional)

1. Wash and peel the potatoes and take out any eyes. Wrap in plastic wrap and microwave for 4 to 5 minutes at 700 W, until a skewer goes through them easily.
2. Put the butter in a small microwave-safe container and microwave for 40 seconds at 500 W without a cover. Add the Parmesan cheese and mix well.
3. Put the cooked soft potatoes in a separate bowl and mash with a masher. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
4. Divide the mixture into 6 portions and roll into balls. If it's too dry and hard to form, mix in a little milk before forming the balls.
5. Put the potato balls in the bowl with the melted butter and cheese. Roll the balls in the mixture to coat them with butter and cheese.
6. Put the butter-cheese potato balls on a baking sheet lined with kitchen parchment paper. Bake in a toaster oven for 7 to 8 minutes (800 W).
7. When they are lightly browned they are done. Transfer to a serving plate, and sprinkle with some parsley.

Story Behind this Recipe

I thought up a recipe using potatoes which would go very well with Parmesan cheese and that children would love.
