Stir-fried Pork and Kimchi with Yogurt

Stir-fried Pork and Kimchi with Yogurt

The combination of kimchi and yogurt may seem strange, but as both are a product of fermentation, it shouldn't seem so strange! An easy dish that'll be appreciated by both adults and children.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Thinly sliced pork
200 g
150 g
1/8 - 1/4
Shimeji mushrooms
1 packet
Plain yogurt
100 g
★ Sesame oil
2 teaspoons
50 ml
★ Salt and pepper
to taste

1. Slice the carrot, chop the cabbage, and shred the shimeji mushrooms.
2. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan and stir fry the pork. When the pork has browned, add the vegetables and keep frying further. Season with 2 pinches of salt and pepper.
3. Add kimchi and milk to the pan and mix. Cover with a lid and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
4. Remove the lid, add the plain yogurt, mix well, and it's done.

Story Behind this Recipe

My kids love the smell of kimchi. But it is too spicy for them to eat just as it is, so I wondered how to make it milder.
