Easy and Quick Lump-Free Bacon Doria

Easy and Quick Lump-Free Bacon Doria

The sauce is made after the ingredients are stir fried, so it doesn't become lumpy. This is quick to make, so you can make it whenever you like.

Ingredients: 2 servings

2 slices
Shimeji mushrooms
50 g
3 tablespoons
Plain flour
3 tablespoons
300 ml
Soup stock cube
Hot cooked rice
as needed
Grated cheese
to taste

1. Slice the bacon into 2cm pieces. Slice the onion along the grain thinly. Cut the root end off the shimeji mushrooms and shred with your hands.
2. Melt butter in a pan, add the ingredients from Step 1 and stir fry over medium-low heat, taking care not to let it burn.
3. Add flour, and stir fry until there's no more flour.
4. Add a little milk to start and mix. When it's been absorbed, add a little more milk. Repeat adding and mixing. When all the milk has been added, crumble up the soup stock cube and mix.
5. Fill a baking dish or gratin dish halfway up with rice, pour the sauce over it, and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake until browned in a toaster oven.

Story Behind this Recipe

This is my standard doria recipe!
I make this a lot when I don't have time to go shopping, so I usually use stuff I already have around the house such as bacon, canned tuna and corn.
