Tofu with Shimeji Mushroom and Shiso Sauce

This is a new approach to hot tofu.
This dish with grilled tofu topped with a very traditional Japanese style sauce has a very refined flavor.

Ingredients: 3

Grilled tofu
1 block
Shimeji mushrooms
1/2 bag
Shiso leaves
8 leaves
for the an-sauce
●Water
200ml
● Dashi stock granules
1 teaspoon
● Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
●Mirin
1 teaspoon
● Salt
to taste
Katakuriko slurry
To taste

Steps

1. Chop the shimeji mushrooms and shiso leaves roughly.
2. Mix the sauce ingredients marked ● and heat to make dashi stock. Thicken with the katakuriko slurry.
3. Add shimeji mushrooms and shiso leaves and warm through.
4. Cut up the tofu and add to the pan. Cook for several minutes to let the tofu absorb the flavors. Serve.
