All-Purpose Coffee Custard Cream

This is quick and easy coffee flavored custard cream made in a microwave. It's slightly bitter, but is mellow from the milk.

Ingredients: About 150 g

150 ml
Skim milk
3 tablespoons
Cake flour
2 tablespoons
Brown sugar
2 tablespoons
Powdered coffee
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon
Rum (optional)
~ 1 teaspoon
Vanilla extract (optional)
2 ~ 3 drops


1. Add all the ingredients in a blender or food processor, and blend lightly.
2. Transfer the Step 1 mixture to a heatproof dish. Loosely cover with plastic wrap, and microwave for 2 minutes at 500 ~ 600 W, then mix.
3. Microwave for another minute, and mix, then it's done. Add 3 g of butter to your liking. It will give a milder finish.
