Seasoned Spinach and Ground Meat

This is a delicious dish that'll let you finish up a lot of spinach! It's seasoned with a sweet-salty flavour kids will love. It goes well with either rice or noodles.

Ingredients: 4 servings

1 bunch
Ground meat (pork or chicken to your liking)
100 g
Sesame oil
to taste
White sesame seeds
to taste
Seasoning ingredients:
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon

1. Cut the carrot into thin strips. Place in a heatproof container, and microwave for 1 minute at 500 W.
2. Boil spinach in boiling water, and cool in cold water. When cooled, squeeze the excess water, and cut into the same length as the carrot.
3. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan, add ground meat, and stir-fry. When it becomes crumbly, add sugar, sake, and soy sauce, and simmer.
4. Combine the carrot and spinach in a bowl. Turn off the heat when the sauce is almost gone. Put the meat with the sauce into the bowl, and mix well, then you're done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had a lot of spinach lying around so I simply sautéed it with other ingredients and it turned out pretty tasty.
