Chicken and Leek with Yuzu Pepper Paste

Chicken and Leek with Yuzu Pepper Paste

It's just marinated and fried, but the yuzu pepper flavor of this dish is the best. The salted kelp powder is the key! Marinate the night before and just microwave in the morning for an easy and quick bento dish.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken breast
The white part of a Japanese leek
Salt and pepper
a small amount
■ Kombu tea
1 teaspoon
■Yuzu pepper paste
1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon

1. Put the ingredients marked ■ into a plastic bag and mix well.
2. Remove the skin from the chicken and cut into large bite-sized pieces. Lightly season with salt and pepper. Cut the leek into easy to eat pieces as well.
3. Put the chicken and leek into the bag from Step 1 and rub the mixture in well. Chill in the fridge for over 30 minutes.
4. Spread oil in a frying pan and fry. When the surface has browned, cook it through so the chicken cooks through, and enjoy.

Story Behind this Recipe

You say winter, I say leek! I came up with a recipe that brings out the yuzu pepper flavour.
