Spare Rib Ginger Stew

For when you are feeling chilly! It will warm you up from your tummy on out.
We love this recipe! Although there's enough for 4 servings, we end up eating it all between the 2 of us...

Ingredients: 4 servings

500g
Carrot
1
Onion
1
Potatoes
3 medium
Ginger
1 piece
Garlic
1 clove
Black pepper (whole)
10 kernels
Salt
a small amount
Mustard
1 teaspoon (to taste)
(as desired) celery, mushrooms etc.
to taste

Steps

1. Peel the skins from the garlic and ginger, and thickly slice.
2. Place the ginger, garlic, black pepper, and spare ribs into a pot, and boil in water.
3. Cut the potatoes and carrots into bite-sized pieces, cut the onions into wedges, and place into the boiling pot.
4. Season with salt while skimming the scum. It is done after the carrots and potatoes cook through!
5. You can eat the spareribs to the bones because they are tender. They are just seasoned with salt, serve with grainy mustard on the side if you like.
