Walnut and Maple Butter Cookies

For those times when you are feeling a little peckish! The sweetness of the maple complements the walnuts in these crunchy cookies.

Ingredients: 30 cookies

40 g
10 g
Cake flour
60 g
1 tablespoon
Maple syrup
25 g
10 g
Almond powder (optional)
5 g


1. Bring the butter to room temperature and whisk until it has a cream-like consistency. Add the sugar and mix.
2. Add the maple syrup and mix well.
3. Add the almond powder and milk.
4. Break the walnuts up as finely as you can. If the pieces are too big, it will be difficult to squeeze out the dough later.
5. Add the walnuts and sifted flour and mix with a rubber spatula.
6. Squeeze portions of the dough onto a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 15 minutes in an oven pre-heated to 180℃.
7. These are the basic cookies on which this recipe is based. They are tasty even without the walnuts.
