Salmon and Tofu Burgers With Cheese

Salmon and Tofu Burgers With Cheese

The cheese in the middle is a treat in these fluffy and soft salmon and tofu burgers. You can make this easily with just a few ingredients.

Ingredients: 4 patties

Lightly-salted salmon
2 pieces
Firm tofu
1 block (400g)
Japanese leek
* Panko
4 tablespoons
* Nutmeg
a small amount
*Black pepper
a small amount
Foil-wrapped cream cheese
2 pieces - 33g
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon

1. Cook the fish on a grill, take the skin and bones off and flake the fish. Drain the water from the tofu. Finely chop the leek.
2. Put the ingredients from Step 1 and the ingredients marked * into a bowl, and mix until smooth. (Use a large spoon and mix while crushing the tofu.)
3. Divide the mixture into 4 portions. Put 1/2 a piece of cheese in the middle of each and form into patties.
4. Heat some oil in a frying pan and pan-fry the patties until browned on both sides.
5. Done!
6. When served hot from the pan, the cheese oozes out.

Story Behind this Recipe

I tried putting cheese into light tofu burgers and it was delicious, so I tried cheese in this too.
