Yakisoba Noodles in Broth

You can have fried noodles and soup at the same time in this dish. Serve with lots of veggies in a Chinese style broth.

Ingredients: 1 serving

2 leaves
Half-strip of bacon
2 rashers
Bean sprouts
1/3 packet
Vegetable oil for frying
1/2 tablespoon
☆ Water
300 ml
☆ Chicken soup stock powder
1/2 tablespoon
☆ Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
Yakisoba noodles
1 portion
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
*Oyster sauce
1/2 tablespoon
*Salt and pepper
To taste
Black pepper
To taste


1. Cut the cabbage and bacon into bite sizes. Julienne the carrot.
2. Heat oil in a heavy saucepan and fry the 1 ingredients quickly. Add the ☆ ingredients and bring to the boil. Cook until the vegetables have wilted.
3. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the noodles. Sprinkle sake and loosen the noodles. Fry the noodles and season with the * ingredients. Transfer to a deep serving dish.
4. Pour Step 2 over 3 and sprinkle with black pepper.

Story Behind this Recipe

I found a noodle shop serving yakisoba in broth however, there was a ridiculously long line of people waiting, so I gave up and recreated this dish using ingredients at home.
