Kabocha Squash Seasoned with Sesame and Kinako

Toss boiled kabocha with ground sesame and kinako for a subtle sweet dessert-like dish.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Kabocha squash
1/8 head
Water
2 cups - 400 ml
☆ Ground sesame seeds
1 scant tablespoon
☆ Kinako
1 scant tablespoon
☆ Sugar
1 to 2 teaspoons
☆ Salt
to taste
Cinnamon (optional)
to taste

Steps

1. Boil diced kabocha squash in water on low heat. Add the ☆ ingredients and blend.
2. Using a bamboo skewer, check the kabocha. When it goes through completely, drain the water.
3. Add the kabocha to mixed ☆ ingredients and evenly coat the kabocha in sesame-kinako.
4. Finish with a touch of cinnamon if you prefer.
