Fragrant Olive Oil & Basil Bread Rolls

Fragrant Olive Oil & Basil Bread Rolls

The fragrance of the olive oil and basil is amazing! This dough is easy to work with.

Ingredients: 6 rolls

Bread (strong) flour
200 g
132 g
10 g
3 g
Dry yeast
3 g
Dried basil
1 tablespoon
Olive oil
20 g

1. Place all of the ingredients, except for the olive oil, into the home bread maker and start the dough mode! Add the olive oil after 6 minutes.
2. Once the dough is complete, divide into 6 portions. One portion is about 60 g.
3. Shape into smooth balls with taut surfaces. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 15 minutes.
4. After letting them rest, roll out into circles.
5. Shape into perfectly round balls. Let rise a second time until they're 1.5 times larger than the original size. While checking on the rising of the bread, preheat the oven to 180°C so that it's ready when the dough has finished rising.
6. Slash deep cuts into the tops and dribble in some olive oil. Bake for 18 minutes in a 180°C oven and they're done!
7. Such a wonderful aroma. They taste great with pasta. You could also enjoy these sandwiched with slices of ham, cheese, or tomato.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to make use of this delicious olive oil that I had, and I also wanted to make easy-to-eat little breads, so I thought up this recipe.
