Rich Chocolate Steamed Cake (made with a silicone steamer)

Rich Chocolate Steamed Cake (made with a silicone steamer)

Even though this uses the same ingredients as steamed bread, I think it's better to call this a cake!
You can make it in the microwave!

Ingredients: Regular sized Lekue (about 26 x 13 cm)

Pancake mix
100 g
Pure cocoa powder
2 tablespoons
90 ml
40 g
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon
30 g
・Vegetable oil (to grease the steam case)
a small amount

1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients except for the chocolate and mix with a whisk. Break up the chocolate and add half to the batter, folding in with a spatula.
2. Lightly grease the steam case with oil and pour in the batter. Top with the remaining broken chocolate pieces.
3. Put on the lid and cook in the microwave at 600 W for 2:30~2:40 minutes. Let rest for 3 minutes with the lid on.

Story Behind this Recipe

I made this while keeping in mind that a batter without egg would be firm so the chocolate would not sink.
