Colorful Daikon Radish and Carrot Salad with Sesame

A crispy crunchy salad with ponzu sauce. The ground sesame seeds take the edge off the sourness of the sauce and makes the salad much easier to eat.

Ingredients: 2 servings

■ Daikon radish
about 3 cm
■ Carrot
1/3
■ Ham
2 slices
Daikon radish sprouts
1/2 pack
☆ Ground sesame seeds
1 tablespoon
☆ Ponzu
1 tablespoon
☆ Dashi stock granules
1 scant teaspoon

Steps

1. Cut the daikon and carrot into fine julienne. Chop the roots off the radish sprouts.
2. Add all the vegetables and the ingredients marked ☆. If you leave it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, the flavors will soak in well.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to use up some leftover daikon radish and carrot. I used ponzu sauce for a refreshing flavor. It's a tasty, light way to enjoy a bunch of vegetables.
