Healthy Cabbage and Tofu Pancakes

This is a pan fried cabbage pancake recipe where the cabbage is the star. Even without egg, it's fluffy and soft thanks to the tofu. It's healthy too!

Ingredients: 2 pancakes

Thinly sliced pork
4 slices
A lot
150 g
Tempura batter crumbs
10 g
◎ Flour
20 g
◎ Katakuriko
15 g
◎ Water
70 ml
◎ Dashi stock granules
1 teaspoon
To taste
To taste
Okonomiyaki sauce
To taste
Bonito flakes, aonori
To taste


1. Prep: Smash the tofu until it turns into a paste. Add the tempura batter crumbs and let them soften.
2. Finely shred the cabbage. Mix the ◎ ingredients together.
3. Mix the ◎ ingredients and cabbage with the tofu and mix very very well. That's the batter.
4. Pan fry: Heat oil in a frying pan, cook the pork and pour in the batter.
5. When the pork is cooked, turn the pancake over to brown the other sides.
6. When done, transfer to a serving plate, top with the okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, ketchup etc. to your liking and it's done. Add some aonori seaweed powder and bonito flakes to taste, and enjoy.
