Chinese Style Chicken Meatball Soup

Chicken meatballs filled with ginger and garlic are delicious. Serve with rice. This is a Chinese style soup full of tasty chicken broth flavor.

Ingredients: 2-3 servings

Ground chicken
100 g
Green onions or Japanese leek
About 3 cm
A thumb
A clove
*Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
*Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
A small amount
1/2 small
Shimeji mushrooms
1/2 bag
Japanese leek
600 ml
★Chicken soup stock granules
1 tablespoon
★Soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Sesame oil
a small amount
White sesame seeds
a pinch


1. Finely chop the green onion or Japanese leek (3 cm worth). Grate the ginger and garlic.
2. Combine the ground chicken, finely chopped green onion or Japanese leek, grated ginger and garlic and the ingredients marked * in a bowl. Mix well with a spoon until sticky.
3. Thinly slice the carrot into half moons and diagonally slice the leek. Shred the shimeji mushrooms. Heat the carrot, shimeji mushrooms, and ingredients marked ★ in a pot.
4. Bring to a boil, and add the chicken meatballs from Step 2. (or scoop the mixture with a spoon and drop it into the pot). Add the diagonally sliced leek too.
5. When the meatballs are cooked, turn down the heat to low. Season with salt and pepper. Turn off the heat. Pour sesame oil and stir.
6. Serve into bowls, and sprinkle white sesame seeds.
