Easy Tofu "Steak" with Pork & Green Onion Sauce

Here's a delicious tofu "steak" with lots of pork and savory green onion sauce.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Firm tofu
1 block
Ground pork
100 g
Green onion
1 bunch
1 tablespoon
Granulated dashi soup stock
1 teaspoon
Cooking sake
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon (dissolve it in one tablespoon of water)


1. Drain tofu and cut it into bite-sized chunks. Wash the green onion and mince it.
2. Heat a little oil in a pan, and broil both sides of the tofu until it completely dries.
3. Starting preparing the ingredients for the sauce. Place the ground pork and green onion in a pan and stir-fry.
4. When pork is fried, add 200 ml of water, granuled soup stock, cooking sake, soy sauce and sugar, and boil it.
5. Turn the heat down, and thicken sauce by adding katakuriko dissolved in water. Transfer the cooked tofu to a dish and pour the sauce on top.
