Sushi Balls with Avocado and Salmon

Everybody knows salmon and avocado go together amazingly well, but I wanted to come up with a cute way of combining them.

Ingredients: 30 bite-sized sushi balls

Sushi rice
2 bowls
Avocado
1
Lemon juice
2 teaspoons
Salmon (sashimi-grade)
about 300 grams
Cream cheese
as needed
Wasabi
to taste
Thin green onions or scallions
a small amount

Steps

1. Chop your green onions. Tear the cream cheese into small portions, each the size of your pinky nail. Also portion out the sushi rice into small balls, about 4 cm in diameter.
2. Thinly slice your salmon. Remove the big seed from the avocado, and cut into thin slices as well. Sprinkle the avocado slices with lemon juice to prevent discoloring.
3. Portion out single servings of the chopped green onion, salmon, and avocado on small sheets of plastic wrap, in that order. After the salmon and avocado, add tiny dabs of wasabi and the little bits of cream cheese from earlier. Top with the sushi rice, and bundle the entire combination into a ball, using the plastic wrap.
4. Even out the shapes of your sushi balls with your hands. Remove the wrap, and you're all done!
