Easy Chicken Tender Teriyaki For Bento

An easy teriyaki of chicken tenders made in a frying pan. The sweet-salty flavor goes great with rice.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken tenders
○ Sugar
2 teaspoons
○ Sake
1 tablespoon
○ Mirin
1 tablespoon
○ Soy sauce
1.5 tablespoons

1. Remove any sinew from the tenders and cut them in half. Heat up 2 teaspoons of oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken over medium heat for 2 minutes.
2. Turn the chicken pieces over, cover with aluminum foil, lower the heat and steam-fry for 3 minutes.
3. Add the ingredients marked ○ - sugar, sake, mirin, and soy sauce - and cool until the sauce has reduced and is syrupy while coating the chicken pieces (over low-medium heat).
