Easy Shio Salty Broth Ramen with Homemade Soup

You can easily make authentic shio (salt broth) ramen. It only takes about 20 minutes before you can dig in.

Ingredients: 3 servings

Fresh Chinese noodles
3 portions
Green onions or scallions
3
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Grated garlic
1 clove
Bean sprouts (optional)
1 bag
The soup
Water
900 ml
Chicken stock granules
2 tablespoons
Instant bonito dashi stock (granules)
2 teaspoons
Salt
to taste
Pepper
a small amount
Topping
Ground sesame seeds
a small amount

Steps

1. Pour water into a pot, and turn on the heat. When it starts to boil, add all seasonings for the soup, and turn off the heat. The taste should be a little bit strong.
2. Boil water to cook the noodles. You should start cooking the noodles when you start stir-frying the bean sprouts.
3. Diagonally slice the green onions. Add sesame oil, garlic, and green onions into a frying pan, then stir-fry. Lightly season with salt and pepper, and transfer to a plate.
4. Stir-fry the bean sprouts in the same frying pan, and lightly season with salt and pepper.
5. Pour the soup, add drained freshly cooked noodles, add green onions and bean sprouts, and ground sesame seeds into a bowl in that order, then you're done.
