Cheese Cookies Made with Just 1 Slice of Cheese

Cheese Cookies Made with Just 1 Slice of Cheese

The microwave turns square cheese into cookie-like balls. These are great as snacks for growing kids or as a snack to enjoy with cold beers.

Ingredients: 16 tiny cookies

Sliced cheese (non-melting type processed cheese)
1 slice
Parchment paper
1 sheet

1. Use really ordinary sliced cheese (processed cheese). Don't use the easy-melt type or the type mixed with Camembert etc. or the 'cookies' won't puff up.
2. Cut one slice of processed cheese into 16 pieces. If you use Recipe ID: 1177951 "How to cut sliced cheese" the knife will stay clean.
3. Put the pieces on a sheet of kitchen parchment paper. Microwave at 600 W for 1 minute. Take a look at the cheese pieces; if any are still yellow, microwave in 10 second increments while observing them.
4. I also recommend seasoning the cheese with black pepper, Krazy Salt, curry powder, etc.
5. The cheese pieces will puff up like cookies and turn pale. They will be crunchy and crispy. Done!

Story Behind this Recipe

I wondered what would happen if I put processed cheese on nori seaweed and microwaved it? So I tried it out, and now I am addicted.
