Chinese-Style Spicy Edamame

This is a side dish that you can get in Chinatown.
It's great with beer.
It's easy to make but delicious.

Ingredients

Edamame
1 bag
Salt
1 tablespoon
★Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
★Doubanjiang
2 teaspoons
★Garlic (grated)
1 teaspoon
★Ginger (grated)
1 tablespoon
★Japanese leek (minced)
1/3
★Sesame oil
2 teaspoons
Red chili pepper
a small amont

Steps

1. Boil plenty of water in a pot, add the salt, and boil edamame for 5-6 minutes. If you want to make this an authentic Chinese dish, add 1 star anise.
2. Mix ★ ingredients, and set aside.
3. When the edamame is finished cooking, transfer to a sieve. Let it cool under running water, and transfer into a bowl.
4. Mix in the Step 2 sauce.
5. Sprinkle with red chili peppers, and done. Let it chill in the fridge. It will taste more delicious.
