Imitation Kara-age with Chili Sauce

I used the sauce I made for Korean style chilled tofu. It's my second creation of a recipe for speedy cooking.

Ingredients: 1 side dish

○ Chicken thigh (or breast)
1 fillet (313 g)
○ Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
○ Cooking sake
1 tablespoon
○ Katakuriko
2 tablespoons
Vegetable oil
as needed
For the sauce:
● Gochujang
2 tablespoons
● Sugar
2 tablespoons
● Vinegar
3 tablespoons
● Sesame oil
1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Combine the ● ingredients.
2. Remove the skin from the chicken, then chop into 3 to 4-cm cubes. Place the chicken in a plastic bag with the ○ dredging ingredients, rub in the dredging mixture, then let sit for 20 minutes.
3. Heat the vegetable oil on medium high heat, and thoroughly fry the chicken.
4. Add the sauce, coat the chicken, bring to a boil, then it's ready!

Story Behind this Recipe

Since the sauce I made for Korean style chilled tofu was so delicious, I'm coming up with ways to use it in other recipes.
It's completely tasty. It tastes great with anything.
