A Touch of Luxury! Bing Cherry Jelly

A Touch of Luxury! Bing Cherry Jelly

This is a little indulgence for me. Making this dish with fresh cherries is fun, plus it's so delicious too!

Ingredients: 4 servings

Bing cherries
300 g
500 ml
70 g
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon
10 g

1. Soak the gelatin in 4 tablespoons of water.
2. Slice the cherries around the circumference, split in half, and remove the pits. It's the same method that you use for cutting an avocado or a peach.
3. Your hands may get stained so be aware of that. Make sure to wear a apron so that the juice won't get on you.
4. Heat the water and sugar in a pot, add the cherries, and simmer for 2 minutes.
5. Turn off the heat. Add the gelatin and lemon juice.
6. To prevent the cherries from continuing to cook after being taken off the heat, place the pot in ice-cold water to chill. This will prevent the cherries from losing their texture.
7. Once the mixture is chilled, pour into molds, and chill until set.

Story Behind this Recipe

I created this recipe because Bing cherries were inexpensive.
