Miso Marinated Beef Tataki (Seared Beef)

You don't need any sauce for this tasty dish because it's marinated in miso.


Beef thigh (block)
250 to 300 g
Salt and pepper
As needed
Sesame oil
1 scant tablespoon
3 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon


1. Rub a modest amount of salt and pepper into the beef. Heat sesame oil in a pan and grill both sides of the beef over high heat. Transfer onto a dish when it's browned.
2. Mix together all ● condiments. Brush it thoroughly onto the meat. When the meat is cooled down slightly, put into a plastic bag and chill in the fridge for 1/2 to 1 day.
3. Pat dry any excess miso from Step 2. Slice into desired sizes and serve.
