Cut the crab sticks in half, and shred. Chop the green onions into 5 mm rounds.
Beat the egg in a bowl, add water and mix. Add the cake flour and salt, then mix again to make the batter.
Add the ingredients from Step 1 to the batter, then mix.
Heat sesame oil in a frying pan, then drop in the batter with a ladle. Flatten out the pancakes into a round shape with the back of the ladle. When they turn golden brown, flip them over and grill the other side.
After making 6 pancakes, transfer to individual plates, then serve with the vinegar soy sauce.
Also try substituting the onion with Chinese chives!

Thinking that the taste and color of the crab sticks would go well in chijimi, I gave it a go.
If you aren't pressed for time, sifting the cake flour before adding it will help prevent lumping. My family prefers a light flavor, so we use vinegar soy sauce for dipping.
