Grind the sesame seeds. If you have ground sesame seeds, that's fine too.
Add the sugar, miso and 1 tablespoon of water and combine thoroughly.
Once the miso is dissolved, add the mentsuyu and water and mix together.
Chill it and enjoy!

I came up with this original sesame sauce with my husband. We add miso to the sauce.
Miso is the key ingredient, but you should only add a very small amount. It's just about enough if you don't really notice the flavor of the miso right away. Once I created this recipe, this sauce has become a regular feature in our household. You can make a really nice meal out of somen noodles thanks to this sauce. This is great for udon noodles too.
