Doubanjiang and Miso Chicken Stir Fry

This makes a great side dish to go with rice. It's also a perfect snack to have with alcohol.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken breast

Miso
2 tablespoons
Doubanjiang
1 tablespoon
Sugar
2 tablespoons
Sake
2 tablespoons
Roasted sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, dried sliced garlic
a small amount

Steps

1. Combine the miso, doubanjiang, sugar, and sake. If you'll be eating it right away, you can do this in a plastic bag. This time, I wanted to freeze it, so I mixed the sauce in a container.
2. Add dried sliced garlic and the chicken to the marinade.
3. Mix well to coat the chicken with the marinade.
4. Here is the chicken after I froze and defrosted it.
5. Add oil to a frying pan. Cook some red pepper flakes and dried sliced garlic. Add the marinated chicken and stir fry.
6. When the chicken browns, cover and let steam. Sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds.

I really like chicken, so I eat it often by stir frying or roasting it with various things.
Chicken is delicious flavored with curry, tomato, or mayonnaise, but in the summer I highly recommend spicy chicken. The combination of doubanjiang and miso is really good, making this dish great as a side dish as well as a snack to have with drinks.
