Green Beans with Creamy Mayonnaise Sauce

Dress the beans in this milk-mayonnaise sauce.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Green beans
as desired
3 tablespoons
3-4 tablespoons
1 scant teaspoon
Coarsely ground black pepper
a small amount
a small amount
Dried herbs (I used rosemary and dill here)
as desired
Almonds or peanuts


1. Blanch the green beans. It depends on the size and thickness, but 2 minutes is a good mark. Just try not to over-boil them.
2. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water before placing in the green beans. Transfer in cold water once boiled.
3. Combine the milk, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and honey in a small bowl and mix until thoroughly blended.
4. Remove the green beans from the cold water, strain, and pat dry. Plate the green beans and pour on the milk-mayo sauce. Give the plate a sprinkling of the dried herbs and crushed nuts.
