Non-Fried Shrimp with Herb Salt

This is the 5th in my series of non-fried recipes!

Ingredients: 2 Servings

8 to 10
Herb salt
teaspoon 1/2 to 1
Plain flour
as needed
Beaten egg
as needed
Vegetable oil
a little


1. Mix the panko and vegetable oil in a heatproof dish. Microwave uncovered for a minute and mix well. Repeat this process until the panko have browned.
2. Remove the shells from the shrimp. Make a cut down the inner side.
3. Sprinkle herb salt on the shrimp and let rest for 20 minutes.
4. Coat with flour, egg, then the crumbs from Step 1 in order. Bake in an oven or toaster oven until crispy. If you use an oven, the cooking time is 10 to 15 minutes at 410F/210C.

Story Behind this Recipe

I do not like frying shrimp as they spit oil everywhere! So here is a recipe that doesn't require deep frying. It's healthy and ecological.
