All-Purpose Vinegar & Sesame Sauce

All-Purpose Vinegar & Sesame Sauce

Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce, made from fruits and vegetables, goes perfectly well with vinegar. Adding some to regular vinegar & sesame sauce turned it into something completely different!

Ingredients: about 1 cup worth

1/3 cup (66 ml)
1/3 cup (66 ml) strong
1 and 1/2 teaspoons
Sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon
Ground white sesame seeds
1 and 1/2 tablespoons
Japanese Worcestershire-style Sauce
1 tablespoon

1. Put the mirin in a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Let it simmer for 50 seconds - 1 minute, then remove from the heat (boil off the alcohol).
2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the saucepan and mix.

Story Behind this Recipe

I came up with a great way to use regular vinegar & sesame sauce. By adding just one seasoning, you can do so much more with it. You can just eat it with fried food, or you can use it to season stir-fries and Japanese dishes!
