Whole Simmered Green Bell Peppers

Whole Simmered Green Bell Peppers

You can eat bell peppers whole! Just toss them into a pan and simmer. Chill and serve as a nibitashi (a simmered or fried vegetable dish served cold in sauce).

Ingredients: 2 servings

Green bell peppers
1 bag (5 to 6 small ones)
For the simmering sauce:
50 ml
Soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons
1 1/2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
Finely julienned ginger
about 5 g

1. Wash the bell peppers well, and pierce several times with a toothpick.
2. Put all the simmering sauce ingredients in a pan and turn on the heat. Put in the bell pappers. Simmer while turning them over occasionally over low heat for about 15 minutes.
3. Let cool in the simmering liquid, and they're done!
