Wash the bell peppers well, and pierce several times with a toothpick.
Put all the simmering sauce ingredients in a pan and turn on the heat. Put in the bell pappers. Simmer while turning them over occasionally over low heat for about 15 minutes.
Let cool in the simmering liquid, and they're done!

Bell peppers start to turn bad from the inside. Since you can't cut them open to check for this dish, please be sure to use fresh ones. The cooked peppers are full of liquid, so be careful when you eat them! If you're not careful you'll splatter yourself with the liquid...
