Quick and Easy Chocolate Pound Cake

This is a one-bowl recipe.

Ingredients: 18 x 6 x 7 cm poud cake mold

Chocolate bar (Ghana chocolate black)
50 g
Vegetable oil
30 g
Hot chocolate mix or cocoa powder
20 g (This time I used instant cocoa mix.)
10 g
Pancake mix
50 g
2 tablespoons


1. Melt the chocolate bar. Add the vegetable oil, and mix.
2. Add the pancake mix, instant cocoa mix, and sugar to Step 1, then mix with a whisk.
3. Add the egg to the Step 2 mixture, and mix with the whisk. Then add the milk and mix some more.
4. Pour the Step 3 batter into the pound cake mold lined with parchment sheet, and bake in the oven for 20 ~ 30 minutes at 180℃.
5. When you insert a toothpick, if it comes out clean, it's done.
6. When cooled, if you sprinkle on powdered sugar, doesn't it look like a second cousin of gateau au chocolat?
7. I made it quickly for a snack the other day. It had been a long time since I cooked it last. The taste was great!
8. I baked in cups. It only made 4 pieces.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had only 50 g of chocolate bar, and I didn't have butter. But the next day, I suddenly had to bake a dessert to take somewhere!
I just made up a recipe, and I managed to bake a cake.
