Nostalgic Flavor Custard Pudding

This is a classic pudding, with a slightly bitter caramel sauce and a bold flavorof eggs The ingredients are simple, but it'll leave you satisfied.

Ingredients: 15 cm diameter round mold ※with a non-removable bottom

Caramel sauce:
Sugar
50 g
Water
1 tablespoon
Boiling water
1 tablespoon
Custard:
Whole eggs
4
Milk
500 ml
Sugar
100 g

1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Add the sugar and water into a small pot, and turn on the heat to high. When the sugar browns, turn down the heat to low, and add boiling water. Remove from heat. The mixture will splatter, so be careful not to get burnt!
2. Pour the caramel sauce into the mold.
3. Beat the eggs, add the sugar and mix.
4. Add the microwaved milk little by little, and mix. Add vanilla extract, and mix some more.
5. Strain the egg mixture from Step 4 into the mold.

7. When it's finished baking, cool, and chill in the fridge.

Story Behind this Recipe

I came up with this recipe when I wanted the kids, who don't like eggs, to learn its deliciousness.
