Cut the cabbage roughly and cut the meat into 1-cm-lengths. Fry the meat first.
After frying the meat add the cabbage and fry. Season with salt and pepper and transfer onto a plate.
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and pour over the beaten eggs. Stir gently with chopsticks. After the eggs are softly, turn the contents of the frying pan onto the cabbage from Step 3.
Drizzle with the mayonnaise and okonomiyaki sauce over the omelet. Serve.
Story Behind this Recipe
I recreated this Tonpei-yaki dish after I had had one at an Okonomiyaki Japanese pancake restaurant. It is easy and economical. It contains a lot of vegetable fibres and collagen.
4 eggs' open-omelet is served in a serving plate at once so you don't have to fry many omelets. It is very easy to make so you don't need any tips. If you can't make a perfect omelet don't worry. You can cheat by drizzling sauce on top.
