Simple Chinese-style Soup with Imitation Crab and Fluffy Eggs

Even though this recipe uses imitation crab meat, good dashi stock and flavoring make this a delicious soup. Enjoy it with fried rice.

Ingredients: 2 people

Onion
1/4
Egg
1
Imitation crab meat
3-4 sticks
Water
400 ml
Chinese soup bouillion
1 teaspoon or to taste
Katakuriko dissolved in water

1 teaspoon
●Water
1 tablespoon
Salt and pepper
to taste

Steps

1. Thinly slice the onions. Shred the imitation crab by hand. Beat the eggs.
2. Add 400 ml (13.5 oz) of water and the onions to a pot, turn on the heat, turning it down to low after it boils.
3. Add the imitation crab from Step 2, and quickly cook through.
4. Add the Chinese soup stock bouillion to the pot from Step 3.
5. Add the katakuriko dissolved in water to Step 4, bring to a boil, and turn the heat down to low after adding in the beaten eggs.
6. Taste the soup, adding salt and pepper as needed.
